As a Cruise Director, you will create lasting memories by leading, mentoring, and developing a diverse Cruise Staff team to consistently deliver a guest experience that embraces experiential ownership and aligns with our brand standards.


Key responsabilIties

  • The Cruise Director oversees the monitoring and resolution of all issues affecting the entertainment product and the passenger's cruise experience.
    They regularly interact with passengers and ensure excellent delivery of the entertainment experience during embarkation, disembarkation and tender operations to delight and serve every passenger.
  • Cruise Director consistently delivers all entertainment products, including youth and teen programs, passenger programs, on-board media, enrichment programs, production services, music services, guest entertainers and creative entertainment.
    They regularly oversee the activities, assignments and projects of the shipboard entertainment managers.  
  • Cruise Directors plan daily event schedules with the Customer Service Director to maximise passenger access to and awareness of all shipboard activities, including entertainment and revenue/non-revenue events.
    They identify and implement the most effective way to communicate all promotions and conduct regular staff meetings with entertainment managers to communicate policies, discuss issues and coordinate solutions.
  • Cruise Director Reviews strategies to find cost efficiencies, monitors operational standards, manning levels, rotations, etc. to identify cost saving opportunities without compromising product standards.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

  • Minimum of 1 year's work experience in a high-volume butchery environment.
  • Knowledge of basic meat and fish preparation, presentation and preservation.
  • Basic knowledge of health and hygiene regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to organise and complete work to deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Understanding of the foundation of guest service; ability and willingness to deliver outstanding service to our guests. 
  • Motivation to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities. 
  • Personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality. 
  • Commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
